I am so excited to share this super cool wedding of my friend Irene and her husband JD!
Irene and JD got married in the stunning Santa Maria dello Spasimo in Palermo, an unfinished church dating back to 1509. Her red velvet dress, kick-ass boots and viking inspired hair fit perfectly with the surroundings and JD sure knows how to rock a suit!
Friends and family flew in from all over the world to help make this day special, from decorating the venue and driving visitors around the city to the bird skull bouquet made by their friend Leah and the handmade jewellery by Hazel K Designs ,all came together to make for a truly memorable day.
After the ceremony we took some photos in a nearby park that has some of the biggest trees in Europe, and from there to the reception in Villa Hymara in the mountains surrounding Palermo.
There we enjoyed a traditional eight course Sicilian lunch (yeah seriously eight courses) culminating with the most deliciously huge cannoli which come from the area. There was also a guest appearance from the house cat appropriately named Bruschetta.
Grazie Mille!
Thanks so much for having me as part of your big day guys, it was a total pleasure and I couldn't be happier with the photos. And thanks to all the friends and family who welcomed me on the day not to mention Dunchee for being my second shooter!
Felicitazione Irene and JD!
